Is the transfer of pollen from the anther of a compatible flower to the stigma of another flower. Sexual reproduction will occur when the correct pollen adheres to the receptive stigma, germinates and produces a pollen tube that grows through the style to the ovary.

Pollen comes from the anther to the stigma of the same flower or two flowers of the same plant or other plants of identical genetic material.
6 . What is meant by cross-pollination?
Pollen transferred from one flower to another on different plants but flowers must be cross-compatible.
